Such a beautiful tea and creativity workshop with Such a beautiful tea and creativity workshop with my friend @z.en and @lacelit. It was just what I needed. They provided this printable with words next to it and I used it to create found poetry.a dark, bitter change of heart, finally
dispelled the fog,
fueling a mix of solace,
sharing space
with comfort
and quickly expanding
a connection to stillness
and then joy
to grow in its own accord, a life
so much deeper -
a wisdom and pleasure in being Untitled. On the bottom it says,
a detritus of unspoken burdens littering the sea of my sorrow.carrying
unpainted
unadorned
a lack of
distractions
nothing
Nature & Corazón: An Amate Painting workshop was a Nature & Corazón: An Amate Painting workshop was a creative, heart-centered art experience where nature and culture came together.Facilitator Marisol Morales introduced us to amate paper, a traditional Mexican paper handmade by Indigenous Otomi (ñhañhus) of the Sierra de Puebla artisans dating 3000 years. We watched a video to learn about its origins, uses, and how it's made — which we especially enjoyed. We reflected, connected, and told our stories through our own corazón art. This workshop was part of The Fishbowl's Between Borders & Belonging Communal Group Show funded partially through a grant from 4Culture. The Fishbowl is fiscally sponsored by Shunpike.
